Music is always such a subjective thing because not everyone's taste is the same. While music is subjective, worship is not.
Worship is more than the songs that we sing – it is our expression of praise and thanksgiving to God for who He is and what He has done.
At LHBC, we seek to utilize all the arts as a way of expressing worship – singing, drama, media, and art. We also express worship in how we respond to God – to His Word – through our giving, our service, and our lifestyles.
What kind of music can I expect?
At LHBC, we have chosen a blend of contemporary praise and worship songs and hymns as our "music style" in our worship gatherings. Our musicians are in a "rock band" set up with thick vocals on top. Our seasonal choir provides music for the church during special occasions.
Who leads the singing on Sunday mornings?
Our praise team and praise singers, along with our worship leader, lead music on Sunday mornings. This is an audition-based group.
Does the church have a choir?
LHBC's seasonal choir leads us in worship through song during special occasions, such as Easter and Christmas. This group does not meet year round and is not involved in every Sunday worship gathering. Contact Trey Groves in the church office if you'd like more information.
Are there non-musical expressions of worship at church?
We offer opportunities for drama through readings, skits, and video.
Does the church use audio and video?
Because we live in a media and tech driven society, we want to utilize those mediums in our expressions of worship. If you have experience in audio/visual and would like to be a part of this ministry let us know.
