My wife, Nancy, and I moved to Dallas from Alabama in 2017 after I retired from full time ministry. Formerly, I served as Associate Pastor of Religious Education and Administration at Westwood Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL for three years and then as Associate Pastor at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Jasper, AL for twelve years. Prior to that, Nancy and I served as career missionaries in Brazil with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Along with our three sons, we lived in Recife, Brazil for thirteen years and in the capital city of Brazil, Brasilia, for five years.

I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Alabama in Foley. I graduated from Troy University in Troy, AL, where I met and married Nancy. I also attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Nancy and I have been members of LHBC since 2018.
